These Terms govern your use of the Tellybird iOS app. Tellybird is developed and operated by an independent developer, the seller listed on the App Store ("we", "us"). By using Tellybird you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Tellybird is rated 12+ on the App Store because translations preserve the tone of the source subtitles, which can include strong language. Use it only if you meet the age rating or have your guardian's permission where that is allowed.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Tellybird for your own language learning on Apple devices you own or control, under Apple's standard App Store terms. You may not resell, redistribute, or reverse-engineer the app.
Use Tellybird only for lawful, personal learning. Do not attempt to abuse, overload, scrape, or circumvent the service's security, App Check protection or usage limits, and do not use automated tools against our servers. We may suspend or block a device that does.
Translations, word explanations, example sentences and quiz options are generated by AI and may be incomplete or wrong. Use them as a learning aid, not as an authoritative reference. To help you learn realistically, translations preserve the tone of the source subtitles. Show titles, posters and season data come from TMDB and may be inaccurate. Tellybird is a learning tool, not a source of the underlying media, and does not grant any rights in it.
Tellybird, its name, bird mark and design are owned by us. You keep whatever rights you have in the content you capture; you are responsible for having the right to capture and translate it. You grant us only the limited permission needed to provide the features you use (for example, to send selected subtitle text to our AI provider, or to host a list you chose to share).
Tellybird relies on services we do not control — Apple (App Store, iCloud), Google Firebase, our AI provider (currently OpenAI) and TMDB. Their availability, terms and privacy practices are theirs; see the Privacy Policy for what each one receives.
We work hard to keep Tellybird running, but it is a small, independent product and may be interrupted, changed or discontinued. Allowances, features and AI providers may change over time. If we ever discontinue Pro, active subscriptions will not be renewed and Apple's refund rules apply to any unused period.
Tellybird is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that consumer law in your country grants you and that cannot be waived.
You may stop using Tellybird at any time by deleting the app (and canceling any subscription in your Apple ID settings). We may suspend or terminate access for devices that violate these Terms.
We may update these Terms; the date above shows the current version, and material changes will be announced in the app where appropriate. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
