Tellybird helps you learn English from movie and TV subtitles: you capture a subtitle, the app reads it, translates it into your chosen native language, and turns it into vocabulary you can review. This policy explains what we do and don't do with your data. In short: there is no account, no name, no email and no location; we do not track you and we show no ads. Your learning data lives on your device — it only leaves it when you deliberately share something.
Each row happens only as a result of an action you take.

The anonymous token is not linked to your identity — there is no login, name or email behind it. Your Game Center name is the one exception, and it is sent only if you use the challenge feature.
We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we include no third-party tracking SDKs.
We process the subtitle text, practised words and search queries to perform the service you asked for. Shared lists, challenges and feedback are processed on the same basis: you choose to send them. Subscription status is processed to deliver what you purchased. We use the anonymous device token and capture counters under our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and preventing abuse.
Deleting the app removes everything stored on your device.
The app also has a Delete my data option in Settings. It removes your challenge participation records and deletes every list you shared, so those codes stop working. Capture counters and abuse-prevention records are not touched — they expire on their own within days; to have feedback you sent removed earlier, email us.
One thing to know: when someone imports a list you shared, they get their own copy on their device — it is no longer the same list. Deleting yours does not remove theirs, and we cannot reach it, because it never leaves their device.

Tellybird is not directed to children. Translations preserve the tone of the source subtitles, which can include mature language; the app is rated accordingly on the App Store.
